Yangon – The G-20 UBPO has claimed responsibility for bombing a police station in Dawbon Township and a police checkpoint at the intersection of Minnanda Road and Ayeyarwaddy Road in Thaketa Township early yesterday evening.
The first explosion occurred shortly after 5pm Saturday 25 September at a police station on Zeyar Thiri Road in Dawbon Township. Half an hour later, a police checkpoint at the intersection of Minnanda Road and Ayeyarwaddy Road in Thaketa Township was bombed.
The G-20 UBPO (Urban Burma Phoenix Organization) carried out the bombing of a KBZ bank branch in Yangon on 19 September and has warned it will continue targeting military linked businesses, security forces and government offices.
The situation in Myanmar is deteriorating rapidly with attacks on each other by government forces and ethnic armies increasing.
